On August 8th, BLACKPINK surprised fans with a special group live session to commemorate their 8th anniversary, following a highly anticipated fan sign event. All four members—Rosé, Jisoo, Jennie, and Lisa—participated in the live stream, fulfilling a promise made by Rosé just the day before to connect with BLINKs once more.
Despite their hectic schedules, the girls took a brief four minutes to greet their fans, leaving a lasting impact. The live session, although short, was a heartfelt moment for fans. Rosé kicked things off by saying, “It was so nice to meet you today, wasn’t it?” Jisoo followed up, engaging fans by asking, “Yeah, talking to BLINKs after so long. BLINKs, you missed us, right?”
Jennie added to the warm atmosphere, shaking a balloon and stating, “And to share our hearts with all the BLINKs who couldn’t make it today.” Lisa, ever the motivator, encouraged fans not to feel left out, saying, “Don’t be sad if you’re watching this; receive our energy.” Jennie echoed her sentiment with a cheerful, “Exactly, cheer up!”
Despite the brief interaction, fans deeply appreciated the effort, particularly Rosé’s commitment to keeping her word despite a busy day.
During the fan sign event, Rosé dropped some exciting hints about her upcoming album. When asked by a fan if her album would be released soon, Rosé confidently replied, “It should be.” She also teased that a track titled “A Vampire Holly” will definitely be part of the album, sparking excitement among BLINKs. When another fan inquired about the possibility of recording the album-making process as a documentary, Rosé revealed that she had already completed recording. However, she did acknowledge that documenting the process could be a good idea for the future.
Rosé also confirmed that her long-awaited album *RS2* will be a full album, encouraging fans to look forward to its release. Additionally, she mentioned that she intends to announce the record label with which she has signed a contract very soon. This indicates that while Rosé is part of The Black Label, she may have additional collaborations with other agencies, a move that has intrigued fans even further.
Meanwhile, during the fan sign event, Jennie also provided some exciting updates on her solo music. When asked about the release of her solo album, Jennie assured fans, “It’s coming out this year.” She further teased that the album would include selfie photo cards, adding a personal touch that fans are sure to love. Jennie, who has kept fans eagerly waiting for her next solo project, mentioned that her favorite song from her upcoming album *JNK1* is “all of them.” She encouraged fans to be patient, promising that the wait will be worth it.
Lisa, who is currently hard at work on her own solo album, was also asked about her release plans. When a fan inquired if her album would be out before the Global Citizen Festival, Lisa admitted, “It’s tough to release it before then,” but reassured fans that she is giving it her all and that they should look forward to what she has in store.
